The Edro III Shipwreck – A Hidden Gem in Peyia

edro 3 shipwreck just off the rocks in the Mediterranean sea in paphos, cyprus

During your stay, there’s a seriously cool (and slightly mysterious) spot you won’t want to miss — the Edro III shipwreck in Peyia.

The ship ended up there back in 2011 after getting caught in a storm. It ran aground just off the rocky coast near the Sea Caves, and it’s been stuck ever since! Over time, Edro III, has become a local landmark — and honestly, it’s kind of beautiful in a rugged, abandoned sort of way.

You can’t climb on the ship (it’s not safe), but you can walk right up to the edge of the cliffs and get a fantastic view. It’s especially stunning at sunset, when the sky turns golden and the ship’s silhouette really pops.

The area around the shipwreck is great for a walk too. The sea caves nearby are fun to explore, and you’ll often see people relaxing, taking photos, or just enjoying the peaceful vibe.

It’s free to visit, super easy to find by car, and definitely worth a quick stop — especially if you like a little adventure mixed in with your beach holiday!
