If you’re looking for a beach in Ayia Napa that isn’t packed wall-to-wall with sunbeds and party vibes, let us introduce you to Ayia Thekla Beach. A laid-back little slice of paradise just a short drive from the busy center of town.
It’s one of those beaches that doesn’t try too hard to impress — and doesn’t need to. The water is crystal-clear, the sand is soft and golden, and the whole place has this peaceful, local vibe that’s perfect for anyone wanting to slow things down.
There’s a small white-and-blue chapel right by the beach (yep, that’s Saint Thekla Church) which adds some lovely charm and makes for a perfect photo op. It’s also a popular spot for weddings photos, and honestly, you can see why. That sea backdrop is unreal.

The beach itself is smaller than some of the other Ayia Napa hot spots, but that’s part of its charm. It never feels too crowded, and the shallow waters are perfect if you’re visiting with kids or just want to float around like a relaxed sea potato (no judgment, we did the same).
If you’re into exploring, there’s a little rocky area and natural cove just a short walk away, and it’s totally worth checking out. You might even find a few fish swimming around your ankles if you’re up for a snorkel.
There are sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, but you can also just throw down a towel and do your own thing. There’s a beach bar nearby too, perfect for grabbing a cold drink or a quick snack without straying too far from the water.
